This fabric is 100% silk. What is silk twill?

Silk twill is a type of silk with a strong twill weave, identified by its diagonal lines and characteristic durability, making it suitable for items like scarves and ties. “Silk" is the fiber, while "twill" describes the weave, so a comparison is between different silk weaves, like twill versus satin, which is shinier and more delicate. Silk twill offers a balance of elegance and practicality, whereas other silks like charmeuse are more focused on a high-gloss, fluid look.

How to sew? Use a sharp needle, and I recommend size 70/10 or 80/12. Use a fine silk or polyester thread.

Do not iron with high heat. Test a scrap piece with your iron before pressing your silk piece.
